- This dataset contains genomic profile samples, mutation information, and sequencing data from 218 prostate tumors, including 181 primaries and 37 metastases, and 14 prostate cancer cell lines and xenografts. After generating a map of CNAs across the dataset, the authors of this study used matching mRNA and microRNA transcriptome and exon resequencing data to define the frequency of alterations in several common signal transduction pathways, explore various candidate genes within a few selected regions of copy-number gain and loss and correlate genomic alterations to clinical outcome. The integrative genomic profiling of these tumors provides a foundation for discoveries that can impact disease understanding and treatment
